Checkout Summary on Mobile

Project Overview

On mobile, the cost breakdown and final price is displayed first, then the user enters their details, adds any upsells, and checks the T&C box. By then they probably scroll back up to check the price. In this test, we just duplicate the Checkout Summary box so that they don't have to scroll back up.

Hypothesis

On mobile, product and price information is only displayed at the top of the page. By the time the user finishes entering their information, it's likely that they want to confirm that they are buying the right product at the correct price. They currently have to scroll back up, confirm, and then scroll back down to proceed. Adding a duplicate Checkout Summary box just before the Continue button will prevent this hassle and allow the user to proceed with confidence, thus increasing CVR.

Outcome

Annual Revenue Increase: $335k

Overall Increase in CVR: 5%

Other Notes

RPU was up 8%
